I am a qualified SEN Tutor, holding a teaching degree in lifelong learning. I am offering one to one teaching based at my home. Learning is established on the learner's requirements and needs, it is my opinion that developing a good relationship with a pupil is essential for successful tuition. A student's academic progress is founded on increased confidence and self-esteem in the learning. I am an approachable and enthusiastic individual who is committed to the welfare and well-being of all individuals in my care. 

Over the years I have gained a wealth of experience of working with SEN students, those with Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, working in the sensory/life skills/work skills at pre entry, entry level one and two in this provision.

I have also worked as an independent educational specialist and have taught children who have been excluded from school/not in education to aid in their re-engagement. This includes students who are at risk of exclusion or have already been permanently or temporarily excluded, school refusers, young offenders, those with emotional or behavioural difficulties, serious health issues or those who are generally disengaged from education

I promote inclusion and differentiation, every learner has their own individual needs, abilities and interests. The effectiveness of different approaches and strategies to respond to the learner's range of needs has been made clear to me through my experience. 

Following an initial discussion and assessment I will plan an individual programme based on the student's needs, which will be adapted as the student progresses. Also, regular feedback and evidence will always be given.

Students will be encouraged to produce a portfolio and a certificate to take home at the end of the programme.

Teaching will take place from my home, in a warm, fun learning environment.
