                   Subjects

Prior to starting tuition, I will require details of the student's special needs as this will help me to prepare for the assessment session. The student may already have an IEP (individual educational plan) in place which can assist me to make a decision on tuition goals and needs.

Foundation Learning comprises Pre-Entry, Entry and Level 1,  including a range of vocational options. Additionally, all learners work towards functional skills; English, Maths, Writing, Spelling and ICT.

Vocational skills

This category allows learners at Pre-Entry, Entry 1 and Entry 2 to get involved in learning that really motivates them: vocational skills. They contain units with vocationally specific content in sectors which we know are of particular interest to SEN learners:

Animal Care

Catering

Hair and Beauty

Sewing

Sport

Art and Crafts

Independent Living

As the name of the units below suggests, they are very much about helping SEN learners lead a rich and fulfilling life. Entry 1 to Entry 3

students focus on transferable, social and life skills that are essential for living and working in the community.

Accessing Community Facilities

Household Skills

Leisure Activities

Primary School Age

Is your child needing extra tuition for SATS revision? Or are you concerned that your child will not be getting full attention to push them forward as a gifted child during this time? I will make their extra tuition in Maths and English fun, so they don't feel they are bogged down with more learning!

I can also create personal programmes designed to meet the interests and aspirations of the learner and balance these with English, Maths and ICT.

I also have knowledge in the following: Makaton, PECS, TEACCH
